Silva Homes is a vibrant, confident and independent housing association with ambitious plans, backed by strong finances and excellent colleagues. We were established in 2008 as a stock transfer association, and since transfer we have added just under 800 homes to our property portfolio and have significantly invested in, and improved, our homes and services to our customers.
Silva Homes owns and manages around 6,200 rented homes, including 400 sheltered housing flats, as well as 1,200 leaseholder properties.

We have around 220 employees providing services which include housing management, supported housing, repairs and maintenance, landscaping, development and central services. Our Board of Management is made up of 10 people.
Bracknell is a new town with both urban and rural housing estates. The majority of homes we manage were built between the 1950s and 1960s.
We are proud of our Customer Service Excellence and Investors in People accreditations. We deliver good two star services and have excellent prospects for improvement according to an Audit Commission inspection which put us in the top 9% of inspected housing associations. And the former housing regulator, the Tenant Services Authority (TSA), concluded after its first year review of our services: "Overall we found that Silva Homes is providing high quality services, is well managed both organisationally and financially, and demonstrates very promising prospects for improvement."
We have top ratings for governance (G1) and viability (V1) from the Homes and Communities Agency.
