*We are taking slightly longer than usual to process job applications because our team has been impacted by coronavirus. Thank you for your patience.
This is an exciting time to join us!
We are looking for accountable, creative and engaged people to join our team of over 220 colleagues. Whether you’re working directly with our customers, or are behind the scenes, you’ll be helping us to improve the lives of 14,000 people.

Our culture
The culture of our business is fundamental to our success. It defines who we are, how we think and work and crucially, it sets out who we want working for us. We expect all our colleagues to embrace our culture and the beliefs and behaviours that underpin it. That is why our culture is embedded into every aspect of planning, resourcing and decision making within the business.
LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR CULTURE
The culture at Silva can be described by three key principles, and we expect every single colleague to role model these principles, no matter what they do or where they work:
Be accountable
Caring about the customer experience
Listening and acting on what we hear
Be creative
Embracing new ideas and technology
Looking for ways to improve
Be engaged
Learning and developing as colleagues
Working together to be the best we can be
About our culture

Our structure
We don’t believe in departments in the traditional sense. Instead, our culture of collaboration means colleagues from every team work together and are accountable for the experience of our customers. Our colleagues on the frontline work in the knowledge that they are supported by the rest of the business.
An equal, diverse and inclusive place to work
We put equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of our business, aiming to give all our customers and colleagues an equal experience, regardless of cultural background, age, class, disability, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, faith, language or health.
We champion equality, diversity and inclusion by:
-
Ensuring that equality and diversity is a natural part of what we do and how we think.
- Meeting our statutory requirements and going beyond this as much as possible, by taking positive action and building a culture for customers and colleagues that champions equality and diversity.
-
Promoting a culture where we value and celebrate diversity amongst colleagues and customers.
- Maintaining fair representation where we are doing well and improving representation in areas where we could improve.
Silva’s colleague Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) action group meets regularly to ensure that these values are embedded in our everyday practice, policies and procedures, both as a housing association and as an employer.

Our benefits
Our colleagues are encouraged to do their best, in a setting where everyone can make a difference. We help them develop new skills and also provide excellent benefits, in recognition of each individual's contribution towards our success.
