When can gas be dangerous?

Carbon-based fuels have been safely used for thousands of years. It is only when the fuel does not burn properly that excess CO is produced, which is poisonous.

To prevent gas leaks from causing harm, we have installed Carbon Monoxide detectors in all our homes and we carry out free gas safety checks once a year. This check is offered to our leaseholders on request, but charges may apply.

What happens during a gas safety test

Your gas appliances will be tested every year to make sure that they are safe to continue operating in your home. A gas safety check ensures that an appliance is properly set and adjusted so that the gas burns correctly. All gas safety checks are performed by gas safe registered engineers.

It is important that you are available to allow the engineer access to your boiler at the time of your gas safety check appointment.
